I applied to Nvidia through their job portal after discovering a job opening via a LinkedIn post. I followed the link provided and, within a few days, received a test link.
Round 1: Online Test
The online test, conducted on HackerRank, was assigned to me a few days after my application. I had 48 hours from receiving the link to complete it. The test lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes and consisted of 12 questions: 2 were Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) questions, and 10 were related to data structures. I completed the test within the allotted time and solved all the questions.
A few days later, I was contacted by HR to schedule the next interview round. I provided my availability, and the interview was scheduled accordingly.
Round 2: Technical Interview
This interview lasted 1 hour and focused on two DSA questions
The first question involved linked lists. (Add two numbers)
The second question was tree-based. While I don't recall the exact question, I was given parent nodes and their child nodes and asked to find the root node and construct the tree by linking all nodes.
Round 3: Technical Interview
The third round also lasted 1 hour and included 10 questions. Among these, 1 was a medium-level DSA graph question, though I don't remember the specifics. The remaining questions were cloud-based scenarios where I needed to provide solutions to given problems.
After this round, I was informed that the final interview would be a managerial round.
Round 4: Managerial Round
This round, which also lasted 1 hour, began with the interviewer introducing himself, followed by a brief introduction from me. I discussed my current project and my contributions. The interviewer probed in detail about my technical understanding of the project, which I had been working on for the past two years.
The interview included scenario-based questions and a final DSA Dynamic Programming (DP) question. Additionally, I was asked about my expectations for the role and my future career plans.
The interview went well, and a few weeks later, I received a call from HR with the selection offer. However, there was a delay in budget approval, so it took 2 months after the final interview to receive my offer letter. Despite the wait, I am thrilled to be joining Nvidia. It feels rewarding to see my hard work pay off after such a lengthy process.
