Veritas conducted campus placements at our college, employing a comprehensive selection process that included shortlisting based on CGPA, a test comprising technical and aptitude questions with two coding questions, a technical round, a managerial round, and an HR round.
Test:
- Format: 20 MCQs and 2 coding questions.
- Content: 10 aptitudes and 10 technical questions covering OS, CN, DBMS, OOP, and DSA.
- Coding: One easy (string manipulation) and one graph-related (number of islands).
- Shortlisted: Approximately 25 students.
Tech Round 1:
- Introduction followed by inquiries on academic performance.
- Project discussion with system diagram explanation and tech stack rationale.
- Operating Systems questions (system calls, termination in CPP, synchronization).
- Puzzle from GFG.
- Coding question of round 1 solution explanation.
- Deletion of a node in a linked list.
- Outcome: 7 students progressed to the next round, with 3 on hold.
Tech Round 2 and HR Round (as experienced by selected students):
- Management of college, projects, internships, etc.
- Inquiry into emerging tech innovations.
- Questions on linked lists, stacks, queues, and basic graphs.
- HR Interview: Strengths, weaknesses, scenario-based questions.
Conclusion:
Despite selecting 3 candidates, all offers were revoked due to company requirements changing in November.
Tips:
- Focus on Operating Systems and DSA as the company emphasizes these areas.
- Understand that offer revocations can happen; prepare diligently without judgment.
- The company's rare revocation of offers in its hiring history underscores the importance of thorough preparation and adaptability.
