You can easily change the background of individual slides or the entire presentation using solid colors, gradients, patterns, or pictures.
Methods to customize slide Background
Method 1: Change the Background Using Format Background
Step 1: Select the slide you want to customize.
Step 2: Go to the Design tab.

Step 3: Click Format Background.

Step 4: In the Format Background pane, choose one of the following options under Fill:
- Solid fill: Select a single color.

- Gradient fill: Create a smooth color transition.

- Picture or texture fill: Use an image or texture as the background.

- Pattern fill: Apply a patterned background.

Step 5: Adjust the available settings (color, transparency, gradient direction, etc.).

Step 6: To apply the background to all slides, click Apply to All at the bottom of the pane.

Otherwise, the change applies only to the current slide.
Method 2: Quickly Change Background Color
Step 1: Go to the Design tab.
Step 2: In the Variants group, click the dropdown arrow.

Step 3: Select Background Styles.

Step 4: Choose one of the ready-made background styles.

Method 3: Customize Theme Colors
Step 1: Go to the Design tab.
Step 2: In the Variants group, click the dropdown arrow.

Step 3: Select Colors.

Step 4: Choose a built-in color scheme, or click Customize Colors to create your own.

Step 5: In the Create New Theme Colors dialog, pick colors for text, backgrounds, accents, and hyperlinks.

Step 6: Give your color scheme a name and click Save.
