WILL U READ asked Delilah S. Dawson:

I am wondering if your life experience coexisted with the story of Iskat? I am neurodivergent and I have read Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade and found that the Jedi Order represents society in the real world. Giving platitudes that don't work because we are meant to do what is forbidden. Forbidden to do what we want to do. And I am making my way slowly through Phasma. I also met Vi in the park, asked abt Cardinal.

Delilah S. Dawson Yes, I was writing Rise of the Red Blade as I was learning more about my own neurodivergence, which helped me lean into the life of a unique character forced to live under basically a religious cult during a war. I grew up feeling like an alien who just didn't understand other people or their rules, so it was easy to instill those feelings into Iskat.
