002. The Host by Stephenie Meyer - Finished 01/21/2014 - Definitely enjoyed the book more than the movie. But isn't it always that way? This was a rare occurrence for me to read the book AFTER seeing the movie. Usually it's the other way around.
005. The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling - Finished 02/04/2014 - J.K. Rowling never fails to amaze me. Beautifully written as always. The ending had me dabbing at my eyes. Definitely one of the best novels I've read so far this year.
006. Divergent by Veronica Roth - Finished 02/05/2014 - Wow. Could not put this down. Nearly 2am and I should be in bed because I have classes in the morning, but that's how OBSESSED with this book I was. I absolutely had to finish it. I cannot wait to read the other two books of this fantastic trilogy. I'm sure I'll be just as obsessed with them.
008. How to Woo a Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries - Finished 02/13/14 - This is not something I normally would read, but it was one of my campus library's mystery books for Valentine's Day, so I didn't know what it was until after I checked it out and was able to unwrap it. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did.
009. Northern Lights by Nora Roberts - Finished 02/21/2014 - I'm not really a fan of Nora Roberts, but this was another blind date with a book for Valentine's Day, and I must say, that I really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down and was dying to find out the ending.
010. Allegiant by Veronica Roth - Finished 03/01/2014 - This book had me bawling. But it was a fantastic last book in a wonderful trilogy. And while the ending was sad, I enjoyed it a lot more than The Hunger Games.
011. The Awakening (Vampire Diaries book 1) by L.J. Smith - Finished 03/04/2014 - Horrible book, waste of a couple hours that it took to read it, but at least it was a quick read and didn't take any more time than that. The female lead (Elena) was more annoying than Bella in the Twilight series. Hell, as bad as the Twilight series was written, this book was by far worse. I found so many spelling and grammatical errors it was ridiculous. Aren't you suppose to hire someone to read over your book and catch such mistakes?
014. Looking for Alaska by John Green - Finished 03/26/14 - John Green doesn't disappoint. I love this book almost as much as The Fault in Our Stars. There's no doubt that he's a literary genius. I cannot wait to read his other books.
This was actually a re-read, as I had read it years ago as a child and couldn't remember anything about it. I wanted to re-read it because of the movie coming out, and also because I wanted to read the other three books of the quartet, which I didn't even knew existed until recently.I'm so glad I did. It's a fantastic book.
019. Gathering Blue (The Giver Quartet #2) by Lois Lowry - Finished 04/01/14 - Second Giver book. I was disappointed. I thought it was going to continue the story of Jonas.

001. City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare - Finished 01/15/2014 - Book 5 in the Mortal Instruments series. Definitely not my favorite of the series, but still one of those books you can't put down because you're so desperate to find out what happens. But then again, I always get caught up when it comes to series.
