  • Customer demand for clean energy continues to drive investment in new generation. We’ve signed a 15-year agreement with Toyota North America that will help the company advance its sustainability goals and support the development of new solar generation in Texas. Backed by Toyota’s long-term commitment, Constellation has entered into a separate power purchase agreement with Ferrovial for 115 MW of its Milano Solar project in Milam County, Texas, which is expected to begin commercial operation in September 2027. • As businesses look to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, it is critical for energy managers to understand how to balance charging demand with existing electrical capacity. Load management is a strategy that can be implemented to help add more chargers, control costs, and avoid unnecessary electrical upgrades. Our blog covers different load management approaches that can support your EV strategy today while creating flexibility for future growth. https://lnkd.in/e8Z9nFaV

  • This summer brought some of the hottest temperatures on record, increasing demand for electricity and putting added pressure on regional grids. Through it all, Constellation's nuclear fleet – and the world-class people operating it – rose to the challenge when it mattered most. During June, July, and August, our clean energy centers achieved a remarkable 99.2% capacity factor on average, meaning our plants produced at their maximum potential output almost all of the time. This achievement didn't happen by chance. It’s a byproduct of dedication, expertise, and teamwork of thousands of employees who planned and executed successful spring refueling outages, maintained our facilities, and safely operated them throughout the summer. As energy demand continues to grow, Constellation's nuclear fleet exemplifies the importance of dependable, emissions-free power. Thank you to our teams across the country for helping deliver one of the strongest summer performance periods in our fleet's history.

  • A more reliable grid and continued data economy growth can go hand in hand. That's the vision behind the AI Energy Management Alliance (AEMA), which Constellation is joining as a launch partner alongside Google, NVIDIA, Emerald AI, and other leaders from the technology and energy sectors. The alliance will focus on advancing policy and technology solutions that enable data centers to operate as flexible loads and serve as valuable grid assets. Members will collaborate on pathways to accelerate grid interconnection, protect local consumers, safeguard grid reliability, and unlock the potential of data centers to support a stronger, more flexible electric grid as AI demand grows. Winning the AI race and maintaining a reliable, affordable electric grid are not competing priorities. Through our work together, we can achieve both. https://lnkd.in/eiM78_M5

  • In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Constellation Latino Network (CLN) employee resource group is highlighting the theme “Together, We Are More. Unidos, Somos Más.” That idea is particularly meaningful as all employees from across our newly combined company build relationships and foster a culture of learning and growing together.

  • How do we power America's next era of growth? That was the focus of a timely discussion at the annual Kay Bailey Hutchison (KBH) Energy Symposium in Austin, where Constellation Special Advisor to the CEO Andrew Novotny joined former Department of Energy Secretary Dan R. Brouillette and KBH Executive Director Jack Balagia to explore what’s shaping the nation's energy future.   Andrew emphasized that America can accommodate new demand from data centers and the AI economy by making better use of the grid infrastructure already in place, detailing how through smart load management and solutions that address periods of peak demand, the industry can support growth while maintaining reliability for customers.   He also highlighted how Constellation is helping meet rising electricity demand, including by: performing uprates across our nuclear fleet to add more reliable, around-the-clock generation; advancing our restart of the Crane Clean Energy Center in Pennsylvania; and bringing online a new gas-fired peaking facility in Texas.    Thank you to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center for providing a valuable opportunity to discuss these topics with a broad audience that ranged from veteran energy leaders to an engaged group of University of Texas students. Bringing together different perspectives is critical as we work to meet the energy challenges and opportunities ahead.

  • Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the victims, families, survivors, and first responders whose lives were forever impacted by Sept. 11. The events of that day will always be part of our nation's story. So, too, will the character, courage, and determination that emerged in its aftermath. Today, we remember those we lost and the unifying resilience that helped carry our nation forward.

  • As we continue to strengthen our ability to serve customers and support reliability across the country, we’re announcing an agreement with Shell Energy North America to acquire the Rhode Island State Energy Center, a combined-cycle electric generation facility fueled by natural gas. Located in Johnston, R.I., the plant is capable of generating up to 609 MW of electricity and plays an important role in supplying power to the New England grid. With electricity demand growing, adding high-performing generation assets helps ensure homes, businesses, and communities have access to the reliable power they depend on. We look forward to building on the facility’s strong operational record while supporting New England’s energy future.

  • Join us in congratulating Trevor Orth, plant manager at our Crane Clean Energy Center, on being named a Hero of Nuclear by the World Nuclear Association. Over his 34-year career, Trevor has worn multiple hats in the nuclear industry, and he's been there through every step of Crane’s journey, from the shutdown and decommissioning in 2019 to the exciting progress happening today. Trevor is helping lead the team working to bring 835 megawatts of reliable, emissions-free energy back online at Crane, a project that epitomizes the critical role nuclear energy must play in meeting growing energy demand. While the honor bears Trevor's name, it's also a testament to the dedication, expertise, and commitment of the hundreds of employees, contractors, and partners working every day to make the effort a success. Proud to see Trevor recognized on the global stage and grateful for his leadership as we continue writing the next chapter in American nuclear energy.
