As part of our collaboration with BUET, DSi hosted a research team for a knowledge-sharing session. Bangladesh's chip design industry is still emerging, academy and industry need to work together to push the industry forward. The research team attended a specialized session on RTL Design Verification using SystemVerilog and UVM. The session explored industry approaches to building structured, reusable, and scalable verification environments. Being skilled at something doesn’t automatically make that knowledge useful to the organization. It becomes valuable when it is shared. Take communication, for example. It is an integral and important part of our craft. We gave two of our team leads the opportunity to share what they have learned over the years. They have been around for some time and have dealt with different people and scenarios. Security is critical when you're working with clients on national and international high-stakes projects. It cannot be a one-time effort, nor can it be as simple as more control, more monitoring, more restrictions. Security needs to be an everyday practice for everyone in the organization. DSi stays proactive about this, and we have a Cybersecurity Club to stay up to speed. So everyone stays alert, they hold a monthly Security Awareness Training session. After the 2008 financial crisis, financial institutions faced heightened regulatory scrutiny and pressure to strengthen fraud controls. Wolters Kluwer, a Dutch company, was already one of the biggest names in financial compliance technology worldwide. But they needed to enhance their banking systems to help institutions detect risk, adapt to regulatory change, and maintain compliance. Wolters Kluwer partnered with DSi to build these new capabilities. We designed and engineered the core detection logic and rules for their new fraud detection system. We rigorously tested the end-to-end system and built the solution to align with regulatory and compliance standards. We had a very different kind of session yesterday. Engineers, designers, and business teams showed their bibliophile side in an afternoon of nerding out about books. Fantasy, horror, comics, romance, thriller, as long as you're into reading culture, you had a place there. A custom-made zine, put together by people who simply wanted to, topped things off as the perfect memorabilia from the day. We're definitely making this a regular thing. #DSi

Our CTO, Mojahedul Hoque Abul Hasanat, always reminds us, young and old alike, to spend less time in front of screens and more time reading. Our curriculum teaches us the technical skills that are necessary and foundational, but the qualities that make a great software engineer are learned from the world beyond it.
