The Trinity College of Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Research Support Office will offer a new research program in Summer 2026: TRInity PATHways to Research (TRI-PATH). This program is designed to introduce students to the practice of research while building foundational skills, confidence, and a sense of scholarly community. The program includes three integrated components: a for-credit summer course, a mentored research experience, and cohort-based community-building activities. This opportunity is for rising sophomores in natural & quantitative sciences and quantitative social science disciplines who plan to be enrolled at Duke in the following academic year. Admission will be through a competitive application process, with a limited cohort of approximately 20 fellows selected. Applications are now open for the Hart Fellowship, a postgraduate fellowship which provides recent Duke graduates the opportunity to engage deeply and meaningfully with a community partner on a topic of social, political, or humanitarian importance. This year of research, action, and reflection is a container in which recent graduates can practice the art of ethical leadership in public life through hands-on work with a community on a particular issue. Since its inception in 1995, 121 Hart Fellows have served community partner organizations in over 40 countries. Current seniors and recent Duke graduates are encouraged to apply for this fully-funded research fellowship. Applications are due January 21st.
