This was a truly eventful summer! 😎 One of the highlights of August was joining forces with the CHESS Cyber-Security Excellence Hub, ECSC Estonia, and other supporters in the organisation of a two-day intensive #cybersecurity training programme at #TalTech IT College for the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian teams competing in the European Cyber Security Challenge #ECSC2026. It was a pleasure to collaborate with everyone involved.

Trys Baltijos šalys, trys nacionalinės komandos ir vienas tikslas – kuo geriau pasiruošti #ECSC2026. 🚀 Praėjusią savaitę #CyberSprint metu atrinkta Lietuvos nacionalinė jaunimo kibernetinio saugumo komanda išvyko į Taliną, kur kartu su Latvijos ir Estijos jaunaisiais kibernetinio saugumo talentais dalyvavo intensyvioje mokymų stovykloje. Pirmąją dieną dalyvių laukė pažangūs interneto svetainių saugumo scenarijai ir kriptografijos iššūkiai – nuo netikėtų CSS panaudojimo būdų duomenims išgauti iki bandymų atkurti privačius raktus. Antrąją dieną treniruotės persikėlė į Attack & Defense lauką. ⚔️ Čia reikėjo veikti iškart keliais frontais: ginti savo paslaugas, ieškoti pažeidžiamumų ir tuo pat metu atakuoti kitų komandų infrastruktūrą. Tokiose treniruotėse svarbus ne tik galutinis rezultatas. Tai galimybė išbandyti save praktiškai, mokytis vieniems iš kitų, dalintis skirtingais problemų sprendimo būdais ir kartu auginti Baltijos šalių jaunųjų kibernetinio saugumo talentų bendruomenę. 🙌 Dėkojame Estijos nacionalinės komandos vadovui Johannes Kadak už iniciatyvą ir puikiai suorganizuotą stovyklą, o Estijos ir Latvijos komandoms – už iššūkius, patirtį ir bendradarbiavimą. Tallinā veiksmīgi aizvadīta pirmā Baltijas valstu kiberdrošības izaicinājuma nometne, kurā spēkus apvienoja Latvijas, Lietuvas un Igaunijas nacionālās izlases. Divu intensīvu dienu laikā jaunie kiberdrošības talanti: 🔹 Apguva jaunas teorētiskās un praktiskās prasmes nozares ekspertu vadībā. 🔹 Pārbaudīja savas spējas un komandas garu Capture the Flag (#CTF) sacensībās. 🔹 Identificēja būtiskākos uzlabojumus ceļā uz augstiem rezultātiem starptautiskajā arēnā. Nometne kalpo kā nozīmīgs atspēriena punkts, gatavojoties Eiropas kiberdrošības izaicinājumam (hashtag #ECSC), kas no 12. līdz 16. oktobrim norisināsies Bohumā, Vācijā. Šī iniciatīva kļūs par ikgadēju tradīciju reģiona sadarbības stiprināšanai. Paldies visiem dalībniekiem, mentoriem un organizatoriem par ieguldīto darbu! Last Friday and Saturday, we organized the inaugural Baltic ECSC Bootcamp! 3 ECSC national teams - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, met up in Tallinn for a 2-day intensive training session, preparing us for the European Cybersecurity Challenge. On Day 1, we hosted high level technical workshops from 🦊 Lyra Rebane and Taaniel Kraavi, teaching us advanced web exploitation techniques and a deep-dive in zero knowledge proofs in cryptography. On the second day, the RabaCTF team put together a full Attack-Defense CTF competition - encouraging teams to practice their operating procedures, break their tools and test recovery flows, on a real live A/D CTF. My favorite part? The Hacker's Evening on Friday in K-SPACE, playing Quake 3 Arena, hacking on retro computers and VT devices, and eating pizza :D Thanks to everyone who attended, and see you at ECSC!
