  • AI is creating new opportunities for AEC firms to improve project visibility, reduce manual work, and make better use of the data they already have. The most effective AI initiatives are not about replacing people. They focus on solving practical challenges that slow down projects, limit collaboration, or make information harder to access. In this blog, we explore seven real-world ways architecture, engineering, and construction firms are using AI today, from document processing and project intelligence to knowledge management and forecasting. If your team is exploring AI, this is a helpful look at where AI can create measurable value across engineering and construction workflows. • Many organizations have Microsoft funding available to support AI, security, Azure, and Modern Work initiatives, but they aren't always sure where to start. One area getting a lot of attention right now is Microsoft Frontier Accelerate. The program is designed to help organizations drive adoption and consumption across key Microsoft investments, including Azure, Security, and Copilot. As AI adoption continues to grow, understanding where funding opportunities align with your technology roadmap can help accelerate projects that might otherwise stay on the backlog. The organizations seeing the most value are connecting funding opportunities to clear business outcomes, whether that's strengthening security, modernizing infrastructure, or driving Copilot adoption across the workforce. • Most organizations know AI has potential. The challenge is figuring out where it creates real business value and how to move from experimentation to adoption. One enterprise organization partnered with Emergent Software to do exactly that. Through an AI Strategy Workshop, we helped stakeholders identify high-impact use cases, evaluate readiness, align priorities, and build a practical roadmap for adoption. The result was a clearer path forward, stronger alignment between business and technology leaders, and a framework for making AI investments with confidence instead of guesswork. AI initiatives are far more successful when they're tied to business outcomes, supported by the right governance, and backed by an actionable plan. • The best technology projects start with understanding the business behind them. Every organization has its own processes, priorities, and way of working. Taking the time to learn that context helps teams move faster, communicate better, and build solutions that fit how the business operates. That's why we focus on becoming an extension of our clients' teams from day one. Listening first, adapting to their needs, and building strong partnerships leads to better outcomes for everyone involved. #ClientSuccess #TechnologyPartner #InsuranceServices

  • Many organizations have already proven AI can deliver value. The bigger challenge now is scaling those successes without creating a disconnected collection of pilots, tools, and one-off agents. One of the clearest messages from Microsoft Frontier Transformation Week was that enterprise AI success depends on more than model selection. Context, governance, operating models, and organizational readiness all play a critical role in turning AI experiments into business capabilities that can scale. In our latest blog, we break down five key takeaways for leaders planning the next phase of their AI strategy, including why enterprise AI agents need business context, how governance must evolve with adoption, and what Microsoft is emphasizing for organizations building AI at scale. • Most teams don't need the same AI tool for every task. If you're brainstorming ideas, refining a concept, or thinking through a challenge, Copilot Chat is often the right place to start. When the goal shifts from conversation to actual work across your business content, that's where Microsoft 365 Copilot comes in. Taking information from documents, comparing files, building reports, creating presentations, or generating new content from existing business data requires a different level of capability. Understanding the difference helps organizations get more value from both tools and make smarter licensing decisions. In this clip, Korey Stillman breaks down a simple way to think about when to use Copilot Chat and when Microsoft 365 Copilot is the better fit. • A lot of critical business processes are still running on spreadsheets. For one global automotive manufacturer, a complex Excel workbook managed monthly vehicle allocation across approximately 1,000 dealerships. The process worked, but it relied on manual data refreshes, limited visibility, and deep institutional knowledge that created operational risk. Our team helped modernize that process with a full-stack allocation platform built on Azure, .NET, and Blazor. The new solution automates allocation cycles, provides dealers with real-time self-service access, and creates a complete audit trail of every decision and change. The system was validated against historical Excel outputs to ensure accuracy and trust from day one. What makes this project especially interesting is how it was delivered. By embedding AI directly into the software engineering workflow, our team accelerated development while maintaining high standards for quality, testing, and governance. • A client shared feedback that stood out to us: every project met or exceeded expectations, deliverables arrived on time, and nothing was handed off unfinished or untested. That level of consistency comes from a disciplined approach to delivery. Our senior engineers stay closely involved throughout the project lifecycle, combining strong project management with rigorous testing and quality standards. Technology leaders have enough uncertainty to manage without wondering whether a project will be delivered as promised. We take pride in providing the confidence that comes from clear communication, reliable execution, and software that's ready for production when it's delivered. We're grateful for the trust our clients place in us and the opportunity to be their long-term technology partner. #SoftwareDevelopment #TechnologyLeadership #ProjectManagement

  • AI agents can access your emails, meetings, chats, and documents. That doesn't mean they understand the work. The real challenge is context. Which document is current? What decisions were made? Who owns the next step? What changed since the last meeting? Microsoft Work IQ is designed to help solve that problem by giving AI agents a deeper understanding of how work gets done across an organization. By combining workplace data with relationships, work patterns, priorities, and permissions, Work IQ helps agents provide more relevant answers and take more informed actions. If you're exploring Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, or custom AI agents, understanding Work IQ is becoming increasingly important. • Azure cost optimization isn't about finding the lowest bill. It's about making sure you're getting the most value from what you're already spending. When our architects review Azure environments, they start with the business purpose behind each workload, because the goal isn't always to cut costs. The goal is to make informed decisions about where your cloud investment creates the greatest impact. Jeremy Brewer breaks down that approach in our blog, along with practical strategies we've used to help organizations improve Azure cost efficiency without sacrificing performance or reliability.
