Conservation planning is about seeing both what's protected today and what needs protection tomorrow. Using the updated Global Hexagons for Biodiversity and Conservation layer in ArcGIS Living Atlas, users can analyze biodiversity patterns, species richness, ecosystems, and more. In this example, a bivariate map highlights where existing protected areas intersect with areas identified as high priorities for future protection, providing valuable context for conservation strategies and 30×30 goals.
