  • We’ve been a little quiet on LinkedIn this week, and for good reason. As part of our commitment to supporting the next generation of creative talent in the North East of Scotland, we’ve been mentoring at the first-ever Rotate Fest, an initiative by KIN that brings students and industry mentors together to tackle a collaborative group brief. Our Creative Director, Mark, spent two days helping the students develop their ideas and exploring the city with them in search of inspiration. From studying graveyard typography to exploring themes of life and death, the group has been developing its own interpretation of the “messy middle”, that uncertain, experimental stage in every creative career or process where ideas are explored through questions, prompts and different formats before finding their direction. The resulting work formed part of a series of visuals displayed at the festival’s closing party, featuring the incredible Fred Deakin. It was amazing to see the work produced by all the groups and to take part in a very informative Q&A afterwards. A special shout-out to our group, Kyle Wicks, Abe Gaston and Allie Amaranth, for all their creativity and hard work! We’re also delighted to be mentoring once again at this year’s INTL Festival, always a highlight of the design calendar, but we’ll share more about that soon. Events like these are hugely important, not only for developing collaborative creative practice, but also for helping emerging creatives hone the soft skills that matter throughout their careers: articulating ideas clearly, listening to others, growing in confidence and presenting their thinking to both their peers and larger groups. Investing quality time in emerging creatives is incredibly important to us, and it’s a process we genuinely enjoy. Our role was never to dictate the outcome, but to give the students the space to discover their own path, supporting, encouraging and guiding them as much as possible along the way. 🎟️ Tickets are still up for grabs for Rotate Fest’s closing party with the legendary Fred Deakin next Thursday evening! Don’t miss out, ticket link in the comments 🎉 #RotateFest #CreativeMentoring #EmergingTalent #CreativeEducation #DesignCommunity #NorthEastScotland

The Cobbler’s Shoes Series: Where Giants Roam Website CRAFTING A WEBSITE FOR A STUDIO WHERE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE Where Giants Roam approached us with the exciting challenge of developing a visually immersive website that showcases their remarkable work in a unique and engaging manner. Their vision was to incorporate dynamic video content, animations, and interactive elements to make the user experience as thrilling as the work itself. Following a brand refresh from Freytag Anderson, we collaborated closely with them and the WGR team, we designed a website that merges interactive web features with high-quality video and full-screen imagery, delivering a visually captivating, immersive experience. We were honoured that this project went on to collect multiple globally recognised awards and be featured by Communication Arts. 🏆 Site of the Day - awwwards. 🏆 Site of the Day - CSS Design Awards 🏆 Site of the Day - The FWA 🔗 Read the full case study via the link in the comments We’ll be sharing new projects throughout the week, offering a closer look at the work we do, the thinking behind it, and how each project came together. #digital #vfx #webdesign

  • The Cobbler’s Shoes Series: SETT brand refresh and website TRADITION WOVEN INTO THE FUTURE SETT came to us with a clear ambition: to create a brand that felt as considered, crafted and distinctive as the garments they make. Working closely with SETT’s Creative Director, Erin McGreechin, we developed an identity rooted in craft, clarity and confidence. From the outset, the brand needed to feel refined without being overly formal. We created a clean, minimal and type-led visual language, giving space for the details that matter most: texture, tailoring, materials and photography. 🔗 Read the full case study via the link in the comments We’ll be sharing new projects throughout the week, offering a closer look at the work we do, the thinking behind it, and how each project came together. • Cyberattacks are becoming more frequent and sophisticated, and AI-powered automation is making it easier for attackers to identify and exploit website vulnerabilities at scale. These attacks aren’t limited to large organisations. Businesses of every size can be targeted, particularly when automated tools can scan thousands of websites for weaknesses at once. Our team has recently dealt with two attempted security breaches. In response, we’re continually strengthening our security procedures and proactively contacting clients to stress the importance of regular updates and ongoing maintenance. These measures help keep our customers’ websites as safe and resilient as possible. One of the most effective ways to reduce risk is also one of the simplest: keep your CMS, themes and plugins fully up to date. Outdated software can leave vulnerabilities that automated attacks are designed to find. Website security is never a one-time task. It requires regular monitoring, maintenance and improvement. If you have concerns about your website’s security or overall health, get in touch. We’d be happy to arrange a call to discuss your options and share practical best practices, including our Website MOT and security-hardening packages. #CyberSecurity #WebsiteSecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #WebDevelopment #CMS #DataProtection

The Cobbler’s Shoes Series: HPR ROV Rebrand PERFORMANCE AT DEPTH The previous HPR ROV identity lacked the impact and distinction needed to compete on the global stage. Our challenge was to create a visual system that could communicate HPR’s technical expertise while capturing the defining qualities of its ROVs: flexibility, speed, agility and precision. Rather than presenting the ROVs as static pieces of engineering, we built a brand around movement. Every element of the identity was developed to reinforce the performance of the technology itself. Dynamic 3D renders, motion blur and confident graphic compositions create a visual language that feels fast, responsive and precise, helping position HPR as an innovative leader within the subsea industry. Custom type assistance: Lewis MacDonald (Polytype) We were delighted that the rebrand received a nomination from the Scottish Design Awards 2026 in the category of Brand Identity - Business. 🔗 Read the full case study via the link in the comments We’ll be sharing new projects throughout the week, offering a closer look at the work we do, the thinking behind it, and how each project came together. The story of a shoot doesn’t stop at the edge of the frame. The environment is part of the story too, the space, the light, the people moving through it, the details on the edges, and all the little moments happening around the main subject. While others are focused on capturing the key shots, we're always looking beyond them too. A wider view of the room, someone watching from the sidelines, the texture of a location, or a candid interaction can say just as much about the atmosphere of the day. Those images add context. They give a sense of place and help a gallery feel less like a series of individual photographs and more like a complete record of the experience. Sometimes, it’s what’s happening around the shoot that brings the whole story to life. Have an idea you're ready to bring to life? Get in touch and let's see how we can build something impactful together. 🔗 Link in comments 📍 Johnshaven Village, Scotland 📷 Cameron Fraser #BrandBuilding #GraphicDesign #Photography

The Cobbler’s Shoes Series — Revenant rebrand and website BEAUTIFUL MOVING IMAGERY WITH EDGE Revenant approached us to revisit their existing brand identity and digital presence, creating a system that could better reflect the calibre, personality and technical ambition of the studio. Our starting point was the name itself. “Revenant” means “one that returns after death or a long absence”, a definition rich with visual and conceptual potential. From there, we explored themes of mortality, resurrection, science fiction and gaming culture, building a brand world that felt both nostalgic and future-facing. 🏆 We were delighted that the website went on to win 3 x Site of the day from awwwards., CSS Design Awards and The FWA.
