Every growing company eventually hits the same wall: the website stops being a website and turns into an ecosystem of tech platforms. That's exactly where Sensirion found itself, and the brief they brought us started there too: relaunch the main site and subdomains, restructure the information and data setup behind them, and stand up a new backend and frontend ready for whatever came next. A UX/UI audit and ongoing feature work followed. Performance is up 46%, latency dropped from 2.5 seconds to 0.5, and the first two months ran with zero downtime. Their new Clutch review keeps coming back to the outcome: web platforms supporting the technical range the business needs, with an editing and maintenance experience their own team actually enjoys day to day. "It still works" is one of the most expensive sentences in enterprise technology. Legacy systems aren't inherently bad. Many are stable, battle-tested, and still power core operations for some of the largest organizations in the world. In the secondary retail market, price is rarely the only thing that wins. A clean, intuitive buying experience can be just as decisive - and for a business like Triangle Liquidators, the right platform could do more than that. Reduce friction for buyers, yes, but also position them as a data layer between consumers and upstream vendors, opening doors that a white-label solution never would. Data only matters if it matches how people actually work. That's the gap we sat down with Grupa MTP to close last week - we planned to talk about one hall, and left with four or five new areas to explore. The occasion was a workshop with the team that runs the East Hall of the Poznań International Fair day to day, part of our ongoing work with #PoznańCityLab Smart City Poznan. We walked them through how the system works now - the sensors, the data they generate - and listened to how that data fits into their actual routines: what they check, what they ignore, what would genuinely save them time. That conversation is what's shaping the next version of the user-facing app: something built around what facility staff actually need to act on, not another set of charts. It's also clear the scope is bigger than one venue. MTP manages far more than the East Hall, and the same approach could extend across other spaces they run. Remote work is the default for most of us and for most of our clients too. That's not changing. But it doesn't mean we stopped making room for in-person time. Something shifts when you're actually in the same space, and sometimes doing things in person brings an added layer that's hard to replicate otherwise. The workshop that finally clicks when you can sketch on a whiteboard together. The client visit that turns a professional relationship into something more like a real partnership. The conversation that happens between meetings and doesn't fit into any agenda. For some of our people, the office also serves a different purpose - a clean boundary between work mode and home mode, something that's harder to draw when both happen in the same apartment. What the right balance looks like will probably keep shifting, but we're glad to have that choice for our people and for our clients.
