Our Mountain team is wrapping up work at Dobson Ice Arena in Vail 🏗️🏒 This 50,000 SF renovation project involved preserving the existing structure while adding a new ice sheet, new plumbing and HVAC systems, and expanded restroom groups to better serve event attendees. A 500-ton crane was used to place two desiccant air handling units (DAHUs) and one Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV). Both DAHUs are fully customized to control ventilation, humidity, temperature, and building pressure specifically for this ice rink where humidity control is critical to prevent fog and condensation. There were 7 picks in total with the heaviest section weighing 15,300lbs! Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life.
