This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re making room for all of it: the cultures and experiences that connect us, the differences that shape us and the conversations we don’t always get to have. It starts today with Las Cosas Que No Se Platican, a conversation about the things we’re often taught not to talk about and what happens when we make space for them. We’re excited to launch Cultural Awareness for Credit Union Board Members, a new pilot program presented in partnership with TruStage and led by Maricela Castillo, CUDE and Thalia Anguiano, M.Ed, CUDE. Designed for credit union board members, the program will deepen participants’ understanding of the Latino community and help bring that perspective into the boardroom, strengthening member trust, supporting staff, and creating opportunities for more inclusive growth.
