We’re proud of the 40 People Who Power New York and their friends and family who marched in this year’s Capital Pride parade! Thanks to our LGBTQ+ employee resource group chaired by Brian Sprague and Jenna Priore, for leading the way. At NYISO, we celebrate the strength that comes from working, learning, and growing together. Respecting and embracing our differences is part of our core values. 🌈

POWER TREND: The grid relies on a diverse mix of power resources - a fact reflected in the chart below from our Power Trends 2026 report. There is no single resource that can deliver affordability, reliability, and emissions reductions on its own. With an all-of-the-above strategy, each resource plays a distinct, complementary role in delivering power reliably. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gvr_Ajp #GridFactFriday

NYISO operating requirements are established, maintained, and enforced by national, regional, and New York State reliability organizations, culminating in nearly 1,000 individual reliability requirements that guide how the grid is planned and operated. Since NYISO was founded in 1999, these reliability standards have helped us as we work to keep the lights on for millions of New Yorkers every day. #GridFactFriday

NYISO voices helped drive meaningful conversations at the Women in Communications and Energy (WICE) Spring Conference. Yachi Lin joined National Grid’s Natasha Deschene, Con Edison’s Jane Shin, and New York State Electric & Gas’s Lindsey Overton Orietas on a panel led by ICF’s Tamara Lowe, MBA exploring innovative paths to reliable and affordable energy during the grid in transition. Ashley Weldon Ribar, led the day’s networking and development session and Katherine Zoellmer guided a discussion on New York’s diverse resource mix. Special thanks to Mathangi Srinivasan Kumar for her work as chair of the WICE planning committee for delivering a meaningful day of learning for all attendees. The raffle raised funds for the Albany chapter of Dress for Success Worldwide, supporting local women through access to professional attire, interview preparation, and career advancement workshops. NYISO is proud to be a part of discussions that connect reliability, affordability, and the people powering the grid.
