Quantum-Resistant Cryptography in Practice (QARC), ID No. 101225691.

About us

QARC is a specifically targeted proposal that aims at the practical deployment of post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) technologies into real-world applications and infrastructures. It is particularly focused on the implementation of PQC on specific platforms, such as embedded constrained devices and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), including high-speed cryptographic hardware. A major component of QARC is the strong collaboration with national cybersecurity authorities across the EU. This will ensure coordinated transition strategies and aligned roadmap activities.

  • 🌐🔐 The Baltics’ transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) must start today. At the Estonian Embassy in Riga, Dan Bogdanov, Chief Scientific Officer at QARC partner Cybernetica, joined cybersecurity experts from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to discuss early PQC adoption, hybrid cryptography and real-world implementation as part of the RIGA COMM side events programme. For the Baltic countries, PQC is a shared priority—and practical work should begin now:  - Mapping cryptographic assets and dependencies  - Assessing risks and identifying high-risk services  - Building crypto-agility into systems and procurement  - Testing PQC and hybrid solutions, and engaging vendors These priorities closely align with the goals of the QARC project. 🤝 A valuable opportunity for QARC partners Cybernetica and Tet.lv to connect and exchange insights on the future of digital security! 🎥 Watch the discussion: https://lnkd.in/dw9PszfU #QARC #PostQuantumCryptography #Cybersecurity #QuantumResilience #Cybernetica #Tet #ECCC #HorizonEurope

  • Meet the partners behind QARC: IKERLAN IKERLAN Technology Research Centre is a leading technology transfer centre bringing extensive expertise in industrial and embedded systems security to the QARC project. IKERLAN leads work on threat modelling and security analysis, while also contributing to secure implementations and the comparative analysis of hardware and software implementations. Its expertise in side-channel analysis (SCA), fault injection (FI), hardware countermeasures for constrained and embedded devices, FPGA-based hardware accelerators, and deep-learning-based SCA will help QARC validate and harden real-world post-quantum cryptography (PQC) implementations against physical attacks. Through QARC, IKERLAN is helping bridge the gap between PQC research and industry-ready, physically secure solutions. We’re glad to have IKERLAN as part of the QARC consortium! #PostQuantumCryptography #PQC #Cybersecurity #HorizonEurope #IKERLAN

  • Quantum security is moving from research to real-world action. At CyberShield 2026, QARC project partner Tet.lv shared insights into how we can prepare today for the cybersecurity challenges of the quantum era. The discussion explored post-quantum cryptography, quantum-secure communications and the work already underway within QARC to strengthen digital resilience. Building a quantum-safe future starts with sharing knowledge today. Follow QARC to learn more about our work towards quantum-secure communications. #Cybersecurity #PQC #QuantumSafe #HorizonEurope

  • Meet the partners behind QARC! This time, we introduce the Estonian Information System Authority (Riigi Infosüsteemi Amet // Estonian Information System Authority (NCSC-EE)), the organisation responsible for Estonia’s central e-government services and operates the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-EE), including CERT-EE. As Estonia prepares for a nationwide transition towards post-quantum security, RIA brings valuable hands-on experience in both the technical and governance aspects of large-scale migration. Through the project, RIA aims to exchange experience with national agencies and partner organisations across Europe, support Estonia’s nationwide migration, and contribute to a stronger European cybersecurity position. As the authority responsible for migrating Estonia’s e-government services, RIA also serves as a technical competence partner for the country’s state-level transition. By bringing together practical national experience and European collaboration, RIA helps QARC turn post-quantum readiness into actionable approaches for public-sector cybersecurity. #Cybersecurity #PQC #HorizonEurope #RIA

🔐 QARC at the CHESS Brokerage Event Today, QARC took part in the CHESS Brokerage Event, a great opportunity to connect with representatives from academia, industry, and government. Patrik Dobias, researcher at FEEC BUT (The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication), delivered a lecture on techniques for protecting hardware implementations of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) against Side-Channel Analysis (SCA) attacks — a topic that remains one of QARC's key research priorities. Interested in learning more or exploring collaboration opportunities? Feel free to reach out to us! #QARC #QuantumSecurity #PostQuantumCryptography #Cybersecurity #Research #CHESS #FEEC #BUT

  • Meet our QARC project partner: Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Applied Cryptology Lab (NaCl)! Part of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), NaCl works at the intersection of cryptographic theory and practice. The group’s expertise spans key exchange, digital signatures, homomorphic encryption, verifiable computation, electronic voting, formal verification, cryptography engineering and data privacy – with particular attention to schemes secure against quantum adversaries. Within the QARC project, NTNU is involved in cryptographic design and analysis, as well as the development of post-quantum cryptographic schemes, bringing its knowledge and expertise in these areas to the consortium. Through the close interaction between theory and practice in QARC, the team aims to further strengthen its capabilities in understanding, designing and analysing post-quantum cryptographic schemes. We’re glad to have NTNU’s cryptography expertise contributing to QARC! #Cybersecurity #PQC #HorizonEurope #NTNU
