Serving Seniors used to plot every route by hand, on a giant paper map of San Diego. Now the routes build themselves. Since 1970, it's grown into the county's largest provider of meals to low-income and unhoused seniors, about 20,000 a week, on a fleet of 30 vans. The hand-drawn map could only cover so much ground, leaving people who needed meals just beyond its reach. That changed when Serving Seniors connected its fleet with Samsara and and added Route4Me's Last Mile Operating System for the routing. The map came off the wall, and the routes reached into four new zip codes the program couldn't serve before. The Route4Me team is heading to Samsara Beyond. June 23-26. Las Vegas, NV. Tell us how you plan routes today, and we'll show you where it's leaking. Mitch Kruse Derek Rowe #SamsaraBeyond #SamsaraBeyond2026 #RouteOptimization #LastMileOperatingSystem #Telematics #LastMile

Now it's time to settle the age-old Nashville Hot Chicken Debate: Prince's or Hattie B's? We admit, we may be a little biased... Prince's was on the menu at Boots, Beats, & Fleets, the after-hours event presented by Fleetworthy during Motive Vision 2026. Shoutout to eSquared Communication Consulting, RAM Mounts, and RTA: The Fleet Success Company for helping make this happen! Events like this are where the real magic happens. One of our conversations led to a customer sitting down on camera to share his company's route optimization journey (interview dropping soon). Thank you Fleetworthy, Motive, and the rest of our partners and friends for a great week. Now what's your vote? Prince's or Hattie B's?

Thanks Jason! European companies like AxelCare in Switzerland use Route4Me to deliver life-saving supplies to over 12,000 patients across the country. Excited to build on that foundation with Geotab and reach even more fleets across the region.
Geotab Connect Europe is a wrap. Barcelona delivered. Great energy, great conversations, and a room full of people who are serious about solving real operational problems. Here’s what stood out: Europe has its own set of challenges. Different regulations, different fleet structures, different constraints on the ground. But the core problem is the same everywhere. Routes that look fine on paper but fall apart in execution. Miles and hours that nobody is accounting for. Operations running harder than they need to. That’s exactly what Route4Me was built for. Not just optimization as a concept, but as the last-mile operating system that actually changes what happens between the depot and the door. The conversations this week confirmed what I already believed. The need is real, the timing is right, and the partnerships we’re building with Geotab create a stronger path to solving these problems for fleets across Europe. Grateful for the team that made this trip what it was. Now it’s time to get to work. #GeotabConnect #RouteOptimization #LastMile #Partnerships #Barcelona

Memorial Day or July 4th without steaks on the grill? Motive and Route4Me make sure your guests don't go hungry. 87 weekly routes became 53. 15 trucks did the work that used to take 25. Driver overtime dropped from 30% to practically zero. These are the results a family-owned food distributor achieved once they started running the Route4Me Last Mile Operating System. Motive captures the data that enables operators to see the ground truth across the fleet. Our Last Mile Operating System takes connected fleets to the next level. Come talk to us at Motive Vision 2026 and share the story about your connected fleet. "The safest mile is the one you don't have to drive." Josh has been around the block in this industry. His perspective on where safety, telematics, and optimization meet is one worth listening to. Thanks Josh! #LytxProtect2026
Just wrapped Lytx Protect 2026 - first one I've been to. Won't be the last. Big thanks to Chris Cabrera and the entire Lytx, Inc. team for putting on a solid week. Energy, content, community - all top-notch. Lytx has really evolved. When I ran a telematics company called Networkfleet - this is way back, before Networkfleet sold to Verizon and became Verizon Telematics, and when Lytx was still DriveCam - people used to ask me if DriveCam was a competitor. My answer was always no. Telematics gives you vehicle data. DriveCam gave you safety and performance. They were built to work together. Fast forward. DriveCam became Lytx, and last year Chris came in, and he and team have done something special - building Lytx into a single-platform story: video safety, telematics, compliance, and operations under one roof. That's challenging to pull off. Lytx is pulling it off. I had the opportunity to spend time talking about last-mile and the role optimization plays across the entire operation - not just routing, but its direct impact on safety, asset utilization, labor, performance, and customer experience. A few takeaways that resonated throughout the week: - Optimization is not a feature - it's a system-wide lever - The impact extends far beyond the route - it ripples upstream and downstream - And most importantly: Optimization is a Journey, Not a Destination - and having a good Sherpa is critical. - One line that stuck with people: "The safest mile is the one you don't have to drive." That connection between efficiency and safety is impossible to ignore. More than anything, events like this are a reminder of how strong this industry is - the community, the relationships, and the willingness to collaborate and push things forward together. Grateful to be part of it. Already looking forward to next year. ...and Great talking with people from the Networkfleet days! The University of Rochester Medical Center went from 30 life-saving deliveries a day to over 200,000 a year without dramatically expanding their fleet. How? The Route4Me and Geotab one-two punch. Telematics tells you where the vehicle is. Route optimization tells you where it should be. When combined, the operation actually improves as it grows, so every day is smoother than the last. It's how URMC scales chemotherapy and prescription delivery to almost 900 stops a day across six counties. You don't get chemo drugs to patients on time with a poor routing plan, and a dose that has to arrive today has to arrive today. The patient on the other end doesn't have a backup plan. It's not just healthcare. SoBran's SafeMail division screens mail for chemical, biological, and explosive threats before it reaches its destination. They added Route4Me to their existing Geotab stack to handle the route planning. Quoting a new client used to take days. Now it's ten minutes, which means SoBran can take on more clients, and more people are protected from dangerous mail. When a SoBran client opens an envelope, they know it's safe. The Route4Me team is heading to Geotab Connect Europe 2026. May 18 and 19. Grand Hyatt Barcelona. 🇪🇸 If you're trying to scale and routing is the bottleneck, let's talk in Barcelona. This is big news for Lytx, Inc. and a huge win for fleets using LytxOne! Thanks, Jason Johnson.
Yesterday was a big day at Lytx, Inc. Protect 2026 and one of big moments was the official unveiling of LytxOne. One platform. Video safety, telematics, maintenance, compliance, and dispatch visibility all built together from the ground up. The energy in the room when this was announced was real. This is a meaningful step forward for fleet operators who are tired of stitching together systems that don’t talk to each other. Here’s what I can tell you. Route4Me has been integrated with LytxOne from day one. Lytx gives fleets the visibility. The scoreboard. Route4Me gives them the playbook. Together that’s not just a better tech stack, that’s a fundamentally different way to run a fleet. If you’re a Lytx customer wondering what comes next operationally, that’s the conversation I’m here to have this week. #LytxProtect2026 #LytxOne #FleetSafety #RouteOptimization #Route4Me #Partnerships

Jason Johnson and the Route4Me team are in the house for Lytx Protect 2026! Here's what we are talking about this week: Frontier Distributing grew 10% last year while driving 100,000 fewer miles. They execute 95% fulfillment, all on one platform that replaced a stack of disconnected tools. Matthews International reclaimed 2,500 hours a month and collapsed route planning from hours to minutes. Their 4% mileage reduction goal? They hit 7%. The fleets pulling ahead are not adding trucks. They are getting more out of every route. Come find Jason, Josh Haims, Jim Farkas, Mitch Kruse to see how the fleets pulling ahead are doing it. Lytx, Inc. #LytxProtect2026 #FleetManagement #RouteOptimization
Lytx, Inc. Protect 2026 kicked off last night in beautiful Coronado. Pool deck, great weather, and a live yacht rock band. Hard to beat that as a welcome reception. Got to reconnect with Dave Cassie , Jacob Gafa , Todd Palumbo, Niv Kagan Kagan, and several others from the Lytx team. Always good to be in a room with people who are serious about where fleet safety and operational performance are headed. Lots of great partner conversations and new introductions. Day two starts now. I also know where my friend Johan van Mierlo was. If you’re here this week, come find me. #LytxProtect2026 #FleetSafety #RouteOptimization #Partnerships #Route4Me
