This week we release our Q2 results and our favorite finance spokesperson Oliver Sachgau is back to help us better understand financial terminology. This time he's here to explain credit ratings - what exactly are they and why are they so important to companies? 🤔 Give this a 👍 if you found it helpful!

Our people are delivering the energy transition in countries and communities around the world! 🌍 Here's just a taster of how they're doing this: ☑️ Engineers in Europe are doing cutting-edge work, whether that’s helping a country gain energy independence or developing pioneering technologies to help decarbonize the shipping industry. ☑️ The all-female gas insulated switchgear manufacturing line for Siemens Energy India Limited is helping to make the country’s energy sector more diverse and sustainable. ☑️ Our IT workers in the US are not only providing IT support for many thousands of employees, but also helping local communities by distributing refurbished laptops to charities and schools. ☑️ The charity work of colleagues in LATAM region is giving young women the chance to be independent and pursue careers in science, technology and engineering. #FlashbackFriday – a look back at a technology that shaped dry‑type transformers worldwide. Did you know? GEAFOL technology was developed and continuously advanced in our factory in Kirchheim (Germany) - starting with units up to 6.1 MVA in the 1960s and reaching 47 MVA, the largest GEAFOL transformer ever built and successfully delivered in 2026.⚡🚀 What began locally is delivered globally today: Germany, Mexico, Hungary, and China - close to customers, trusted worldwide. 🌏 One technology. Six decades of innovation. Setting the global benchmark for dry‑type transformers. 👉 Curious where reliable power solutions like GEAFOL are used in everyday life?

On Earth Day, we share our news about purple forests! 🌍🌲 The Team Purple Forest initiative was launched this time last year, where we planted 1 tree per employee, a total of 102,364 trees! This year we are planting 1 tree for every employee who joined company over the past year, so that's another 10,000! We also have an ongoing commitment to plant a new tree for every new employees on a monthly basis, ensuring that our growth translates into positive environmental impact over time. Our people are not just working on energy transformation solutions, but they are also working on making a real difference in the communities where they live and work. 💜

How do we make industrial sites more sustainable? 🤔 By electrifying critical processes. Together with Shell Moerdijk, we’re cutting emissions and boosting efficiency by electrifying compressors - a milestone in the journey toward net zero.

Protecting power means protecting data. Without a doubt, data centers are the backbone of our digital world. But no cloud, AI model, or transaction is secure without resilient power supply. Just a single cyber incident in the energy system can shut down entire operations. Secure, resilient, and intelligent energy systems are essential for data centers.

Steam engines have been manufactured at what is now the Siemens Energy site in Görlitz since the late 19th century. By 1904, the 2,000th steam engine had already been delivered - at a time when the Second Industrial Revolution was in full swing. Steam engines revolutionized industries and economies, enabling widespread automation of tasks once performed manually. Today's #FlashbackFriday image captures a fascinating moment at the intersection of two worlds of work: back then, progress was driven by steam, but it still took horsepower to get there. We are once again in the midst of profound change. After automation and digitalization, we have entered the era of artificial intelligence - reshaping how we design, build, and operate industrial systems. 👉 Do the risks or benefits of AI currently outweigh the other?
