Your AI tool is perfectly transcribing meetings that shouldn’t exist. We’ve all been there: back-to-back calendar chaos, half the meetings unclear, most end with no real decisions. AI captures every word, but it can’t fix a broken meeting culture. Rebecca Hinds, PhD is going to help you fix that. In this live workshop, you’ll literally redesign your calendar while you’re in the session, using 6 research-backed principles that high-performing teams actually use. You will: ✅ Audit your calendar and run a Meeting Doomsday during the session ✅ Build a custom Meeting Health Assessment template for your team ✅ Leave with a rebuilt schedule and the skills to reassess on an ongoing basis Bring your calendar, your frustrations, and leave with something tangibly different. On Sunday, May 17, MS&E alum Rebecca Hinds, PhD (PhD '22, MS '14, BS '13) gave a talk for Stanford alums in Los Angeles, titled "Five Principles for Effective AI Transformation." Hosted by the Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education, Rebecca's talk drew on the latest academic research to provide actionable insights for alums to take back to their organizations. Her five principles were: - 🧠 Treat AI as a mindset shift, not just a technology shift - 🔀 Embed AI into the flow of work - 📏 Avoid AI vanity metrics, and instead measure what matters - ⬆️ Drive top-down and bottom-up change - ✏️ Redraw your org chart to harness AI Many thanks to the alums who came out to engage with Rebecca and contribute to the conversation about how to best utilize AI tools! We hope to see you at future events, and in MS&E courses online. Stanford Online has reached over 22.4 million learners across 147 countries since 2012. Today, we are expanding our capability to share research-driven knowledge globally with the opening of our new immersive learning studio. With a 20-foot-wide by 12-foot-tall 4K LED wall, cinematic cameras, and virtual production tools, the studio will enable faculty to create learning experiences that feel more dynamic, connected, and human. That is what immersive learning means to us: bringing learners closer to the ideas, environments, and real-world context behind what they are studying. This vision is guided by a simple principle: faculty-led, research-driven, and human-centered. Every tool and technology supports Stanford’s teaching mission, grounded in evidence about how people learn, and is designed to make online education more personal and impactful.
