Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
The General Manager supports the full Operations in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role helps coordinate all plant activities, including production scheduling, workforce supervision, process improvement, and maintenance. This role also supports detailed reporting and budgeting requirements. The General Manager acts as a key leader in achieving operational goals and developing a culture of continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist in managing daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
Hold production meeting to go over today’s production schedules.
Work in coordination with Shop Supervisors to ensure all team members are meeting production goals.
Be a leader to the shop. Motivate employees and keep them motivated.
Help with the set-ups to speed up production as needed.
Plan production needs ahead of schedule, including materials, headcount, etc.
Coach employees on how to improve or avoid issues as they arise.
Record employee productivity or personnel issues and provide documentation to HR.
Create and manage plant CapEx budgets and projects.
Maintain daily reporting requirement for production, budgeting and planning purposes.
Manage and create production schedules in coordination with Sales and Production.
Assist Supervisors to ensure all parts are where they need to be when it’s time for them.
Ensure that quantity and quality are always up to company standards but monitoring and utilizing quality systems.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to shop personnel and assign duties appropriately.
Ensure safety procedures and policies are being followed by all team members.
Supervise and direct Maintenance teammates to ensure the shop runs as efficiently as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
Must have 10+ years of previous manufacturing experience, welding and fabrication preferred, including managing a facility grossing $100 mill. +.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Must have proficient computer skills including Office Suite
Six Sigma (Or similar) experience
Previous experience with ERP, HRIS, QA systems.
