USD Sanford School of Medicine is seeking a Department Assistant for Internal Medicine. This position supports scheduling and evaluation of medical students within the major divisions of the Department of Internal Medicine with emphasis on managing Pillar 2 and Pillar 3 medical student clerkships.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of modern office/clerical procedure and practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Experience with office equipment and software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom along with the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms such as One45 and D2L.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, residents, faculty, and staff.
Experience working in education.
This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays. Employees also have access to internal and state-sponsored training as well as reduced tuition for state-supported courses at all State of South Dakota academic institutions.
