We're partnered with a founder-led developer that's building the next generation of distributed energy infrastructure across the U.S. Backed by an entrepreneurial leadership team, this organization offers the opportunity to work in a highly agile environment where your contributions have a direct impact on project success.
They're seeking a Development Associate to support the advancement of projects including DG Solar, BESS, EV charging infrastructure, edge data centers, and other distributed energy assets.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, taking ownership, and working alongside experienced industry leaders in a fast-moving, collaborative business.
The Opportunity
You'll support projects throughout the full development lifecycle, partnering with internal leadership and external stakeholders to move projects from early-stage diligence through construction readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting development activities across land, interconnection, engineering, permitting, financing, and construction.
Coordinating due diligence with engineering, legal, environmental, and utility partners.
Managing project trackers, schedules, documentation, and data rooms.
Preparing applications, reports, meeting materials, and development deliverables.
Working cross-functionally to keep multiple projects progressing simultaneously.
Identifying risks early and helping drive practical solutions.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in renewable energy, land development, commercial real estate, engineering, or infrastructure development.
Experience supporting projects through multiple phases of the development lifecycle.
Familiarity with ArcGIS, Google Earth, AutoCAD, or similar GIS/CAD platforms.
Understanding of utility coordination and new service connections.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Why This Role?
Join a founder-led company where decisions are made quickly and ideas turn into action.
Gain exposure across every stage of project development rather than being siloed into one function.
Work directly with experienced industry leaders and decision-makers.
Be part of a lean, high-performing team where your work is visible and your impact is tangible.
Help develop infrastructure at the forefront of the energy transition and digital economy.
If you're looking to accelerate your career in project development within an organization that values initiative, ownership, and collaboration, I'd be happy to tell you more.
