We’re hiring an experienced Information Technology Analyst II located in Maine, Massachusetts, or Florida to remotely support, maintain, enhance, and optimize critical business applications that support our client’s utility operations. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, working with data, and collaborating across departments to deliver reliable and efficient technology solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Support & Development
Support the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business applications and system enhancements.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance for the Customer Information System (CIS) and related integrations.
Assist with application upgrades, system improvements, and implementation of new functionality.
Participate in change management, testing, and deployment activities.
Data Management & Reporting
Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data analyses to support business operations and decision-making.
Investigate and resolve data-related issues while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Support data synchronization and integration between CIS, GIS, AMI, MDM, and other enterprise systems.
Create and maintain reporting solutions to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
Business & Customer Support
Partner with internal business teams to understand requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Deliver exceptional customer service through responsive support and effective communication.
Vendor & Project Coordination
Collaborate with software vendors, service providers, and external support teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and tracking information.
Contribute to system lifecycle planning, disaster recovery initiatives, and technical asset reviews.
Team Collaboration
Participate actively in CIS team meetings and technology planning discussions.
Support compliance with internal audit requirements, testing standards, and change control processes.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours application support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support, systems analyst, or application support role.
Experience supporting Customer Information Systems (CIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or billing platforms.
Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Must be located in either Maine, Massachusetts, or Florida
Preferred
Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL development.
Reporting and business intelligence experience using tools such as Cognos, TM1, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or Crystal Reports.
Project management experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word; Microsoft Project is a plus.
Utility industry experience, including knowledge of utility billing systems, electrical infrastructure, or related operational technologies.
