Product Owner

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically fluent Product Owner to join our Travel Technology team in Phoenix. This is a high-impact role responsible for owning and driving the vision, strategy, and delivery of two critical API-based travel platforms — one focused on hotel content and property data management, and the other supporting traveller booking and PNR (Passenger Name Record) management capabilities.

This role requires a proactive product leader who can effectively bridge business and technology teams, drive strategic initiatives, and take full ownership of product outcomes from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for API-based travel platforms supporting hotel content management and traveller booking/PNR systems.
• Define and manage product vision, roadmap, priorities, and delivery plans across short-term, mid-term, and long-term horizons.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable product solutions.
• Analyse data using SQL to identify trends, validate product decisions, and measure business outcomes.
• Partner with operations, business, compliance, and technology teams to ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive product strategy and proactively identify risks, dependencies, process improvements, and growth opportunities.
• Monitor product performance and continuously optimize features based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure successful delivery of high-priority initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Product Owner experience supporting API-first or API-based platforms.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills with the ability to directly query, analyse, and interpret data.
• Proven experience within the Travel Technology industry.
• Strong understanding of booking systems, travel workflows, PNR structures, and travel data ecosystems.
• Experience managing product roadmaps across sprint, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive product outcomes beyond traditional backlog and user story management.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hotel content management, property data platforms, or hotel distribution systems.
• Knowledge of Availability, Rates & Inventory (ARI) concepts and hotel APIs.
• Familiarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport.
• Experience supporting booking engines, traveller management platforms, or reservation systems.
• Experience with PNR lifecycle management, itinerary management, and mid-office travel platforms.
• Previous experience working with Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), or travel technology organizations.
• Understanding of travel compliance, booking operations, and supplier integrations.
