Quality Engineer – Manual & Automation Testing

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Selenium with Java, REST API testing, and Agile testing methodologies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through efficient testing practices and continuous quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual as well as automated test cases
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium (Java) and REST APIs
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing
• Participate actively in Agile sprint planning, execution, and testing activities
• Conduct cross-system data validation and integration testing
• Track, report, and manage defects using tools like JIRA and qTest
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitLab
• Ensure adherence to QE standards, testing processes, and best practices
• Analyze requirements/user stories and identify test scenarios and edge cases
• Prepare test data, execute test scripts, retest fixes, and document results
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team
• Gain exposure to AI-based testing tools and cloud testing platforms

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing
• Hands-on expertise in Selenium with Java
• Good understanding of REST API Testing
• Experience with JIRA, qTest, and defect management processes
• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD environments
• Experience in integration testing and data validation across systems

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in Agile environments
• Capability to independently manage testing activities and timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI-driven testing tools
• Experience in Telecom and Financial domain projects
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing frameworks/platforms

Key Responsibilities in Testing Lifecycle

• Review and analyze user stories/requirements for ambiguities
• Create test scenarios, test cases, and maintain RTM documentation
• Execute smoke, functional, regression, and retesting activities
• Log, track, and validate defects effectively
• Ensure application quality, usability, reliability, and performance standards
• Support and guide junior testers when required
