Our clients are some of the biggest motorsport teams and brands in the world, for which we assist in designing and fabricating race transporters. Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

What You Can Expect In This Role

The Welder/Fabricators work as a team or independently to produce top-notch transporters. Team members will cut, weld, assemble and install materials and hardware. This position relies on the ability to weld, construct, assemble, and install all materials as directed to complete a project.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to cut, fit and weld metal materials, utilizing general light gauge (16ga – 12”) MIG (GMAW) or TIG welding skills as defined by print specifications, team lead or Foreman.
• Confidently perform custom welding and fitting tasks in situations without blueprints or instructions, using creativity and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
• Ability to read and understand print specifications to measure and position metal material for welding operation.
• Effectively fabricate, assemble and install materials in non-welding capacity.
• Properly operate a wide range of power and hand tools including, but not limited to, saws, grinders, drills, welders, overhead cranes, man-lifts and forklifts.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and similar measuring tools.
• Accurately signs out all required inventory materials and hardware to the correct project.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Maintains appropriate documentation of projects.
• Maintains a good working attitude and cooperates with peers in a positive spirit of teamwork.
• Any other tasks or projects assigned by the Shop Foreman.
  
  

Top Skills

• Strong experience MIG welding, TIG welding, Fabricating, Torching, Grinding and steel manufacturing.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints and diagrams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
• Ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Desire to produce top quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in shop settings.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, off ladders, and moderate heights.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• College coursework, technical training or certifications in welding and/or fabrication related experience highly preferred.
