Using room tone to remove noise
- [Presenter] Camtasia's noise removal effect can do a really nice job of removing unwanted consistent sounds like air vents or computer fans. However, sometimes it's tough for Camtasia to know what is and is not noise. And this can result in some wonky sounding vocals. I'm going to show you an advanced noise removal technique using Room Tone to remove just the noise from your recording. If you're not familiar with this term, Room Tone is basically just the sound of your room. Now of course, the best way to remove noise in my recording is to remove the noise before hitting record but sometimes things are out of my control. For example, one time I did a video shoot at a Votech school with a very noisy heating system. And for some reason, the maintenance guy wasn't willing to turn off the heat to the whole school during the shoot.
