The posture, the back pain, the 47 tabs open, and somehow still Googling basic syntax. 💀💻 You don’t choose Computer Science. Computer Science chooses your spine. 😭 #GeeksforGeeks #ComputerScience #TechMemes #CodingLife #EngineeringLife
Some common symptoms of hard-work in CSE: 1. Sign wave-shaped backbone. 2. Bulletproof glasses on eyes. 3. Permanent dark circles under eyes. 4. Syntax errors in dreams. 5. Social life running on 404 Not Found. 6. Competition tougher than a one on one UFC match with Mike Tyson.
But brain understand code better if face closer to monitor
Ctrl + Z works on code, but not on our posture. 😭💻 Someone please release a hotfix for our spines! 😂
syntax and posture joke in big 2026?
Software engineer here, and my back once sent me the invoice. Best refactor I ever did wasn’t in the code: learning to rest before my body forced me to.
As in many things in life, things are not that simple!! That's why we have this thing, called brain!! If you know several languages but don't regularly use some basic syntax in some of them, there is a high chance that you would forget it, even if you have written the very same syntax a gazillion times before. Anyway, it does not mean that you forgot the whole language or its complex parts, especially if you use the more complex parts regularly. There is no rule that says: first you forget the complex parts, then the simple syntax. The rule is rather: use it or lose it. So, if there has been a considerable period of time since your last use some basic syntax, most probably you have to refresh your memory. Recently, I solved one complex algorithmic problem on leetcode, as usual in seven languages. Alas, I have forgotten string initialization in C++, whether it is string(number of chars, char) or string(char, number of chars). Surely, I could have checked it, by running both variants on my IDE and it would take about 30 - 60 seconds. But with googling, it took about 5 - 10 seconds. It is worth repeating: As in many things in life, things are not that simple!! That's why we have this thing, called brain!!
maintaining good posture is easily overlooked , I faced painful nerve problems 3 years ago and it was extreme suffering , after that I maintained posture by sitting in good chair and never faced nerve problems again I suggest people who do code regularly to not take this lightly
I definitely feel that—my spine needs a complete recalibration after hours of debugging!
Switching programming languages always turns me into a professional Googler. 😄 The logic? Easy. The syntax for a basic for loop? Let me look that up again.
I only google syntax if it's not my most used programming language. Other than that I'm good because it's like translating
