Slips, trips, and falls are the leading cause of workplace #accidents. And it often starts with small lapses in #attention: An unused handrail, glancing at your phone while walking, or that moment when you’re in a hurry. And these incidents are avoidable. With this year’s #wecare-Days at #thyssenkrupp, we raise awareness of these risks and encourage safe behavior in every step. The video created by our #OSH colleagues shows how things can go well for several times before going wrong. So please don’t try this on your own! 🙅
Good point, there is a strong message in the video. That “it goes right several times before it goes wrong” idea is exactly where the real risk sits. It’s not the first slip that matters; it’s all the successful repeats that quietly normalise the unsafe behaviour.
From my time at TK, I know how much consistency and daily attention these topics require. We achieved 5 years without an accident and that showed me that safety first is not just a slogan, it has to be lived every day in daily operations. Very often, it is the small everyday situations that are underestimated but make the real difference.

Superb ...
That’s why it is so important that all personnel from plant management to production associates are trained in identifying and removing hazards; from a crack in the floor, a loose board and other obstacles in a pathway, to a hydraulic spill on the floor.
