Series by Marriott is adding a San Diego conversion designed around the character of the Gaslamp Quarter: https://lnkd.in/eNTCVN9w Stoa Lodging will renovate Hotel Z and reposition the 100-room property as Stellen San Diego Gaslamp, with an opening planned for early 2027. The redesign will introduce locally driven food and beverage, updated public spaces and programming intended to reflect the surrounding neighborhood, while Evolution Hospitality will manage the hotel. The project also fits a development strategy Marriott has explicitly identified as important. CEO Anthony Capuano said conversions remained a significant driver of the company’s growth during the first half of 2026.
