in January 2013: In an analysis last month I had predicted that the 23-year-old Delhi rape victim would live. Unfortunately, I was wrong and therefore I decided to analyse why I went wrong. Before I begin, I must point out that senior astrologers in the Jyotish Vidya group had raised some concerns about my analysis. Krishnamurthy Seetharama ji said, Looks like a good analysis. Hope the girl survives. My only concern in that chart is 11th house of recovery. Both 11H and 11L Venus are afflicted. Sivaswamy ji added, The 12th house represents misery, pain and loss. 11th house is the 12th house from the 12th house. Thus the 11th house stands for loss of misery and pain. Let us revisit the question, Will she live? which occurred to me on 21 December 2012 at 9:22 pm in Bangalore [12n59, 77e35] with a lagna of 2325': +-----------------------+ ch gu ke +-----+-----------+----- lg +----- +----- ku +-----+-----------+----- su bu sksa ra +-----------------------+ While I agree wholeheartedly with what Krishnamurthy Seetharama ji and Sivaswamy ji said, I also realised that I had made one other mistake--I had completely ignored the dasa at the time of question. The prashna chart was running Budha - Chandra - Guru from 30-Nov-2012 to 06-Feb-2013. In this chart, Budha is in own star in the 5th, but afflicted by 8th lord Rahu, 11th lord Sukra and aspected by the 6th lord Guru. Chandra, though in the 9th, is in star of afflicted Budha, while vakra Guru, the lord of the 6th house, indicated that the disease will overcome the native. It would have been so much better for Indiaand her parentsif she had lived. But the march of time destroys everything and all one can do is pray that her soul should rest in peace. ***
