Keen attention to detail Being meticulous and conscientious are one of the great qualities that a bookkeeper should have to be able to effectively do their tasks and produce good results. A great bookkeeper will pay a real attention to the smallest points, ensuring that your accounts are mistake free.

Great Organizational Skills

Bookkeeper is to keep track of payments, sales, receipts and purchases. This generates a large amount of work that must be carefully organized and filed.

Experience in your industry

Having knowledge and experience in a relevant industry will be more adept at understanding the intricacies and nuances of your business.

Awareness on payments and deadline of reports

Having bills paid on time is important to public image, showing that a business is healthy and well managed.
Bookkeeper should prepare financial reports and file taxes on or before the scheduled date.

Good Communication Skills

Bookkeeper should be clear and concise communicators to be able to seek clarification ask questions, in addition to explaining and providing relevant information when asked, and to avoid misunderstanding issues.

Good customer relation skills


Bookkeeper is usually the person employee will talk to when there is a discrepancy in their pay checks or a problem with a purchase order. He/she may also be addressed by clients or customers when there is an issue with purchase orders, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Willingness to learn new skills and be trained


Continuous learning is an integral part of the job of a bookkeeper. He/she is expected to stay abreast of changes to government procedures, rules and regulations, and to further their knowledge of accounting software and practices.

Analytical
Bookkeeper analyze trends and can give recommendations to cut waste and find ways to expand.

Trustworthy and Reliable

Bookkeeper must be honest and discreet because all accounting files must remain confidential.
