Fall 2013 After-School Program Sponsored by the Jefferson/Farnsworth Elementary PTOs

Get it while its hot! This is an amazing 7-week program available to all students at Jefferson & Farnsworth Elementary, every Wednesday beginning October 9th-November 20th, from 1:50-2:50pm (taking advantage of early release). Enrollment is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis (deadline is Oct 4th). Financial waivers will be considered upon request for class fees. Snacks are provided weekly.

Tinkering: Love working with little parts and building things?

This class is for detail-oriented children with good

attention span! Have fun learning new methods and working with familiar supplies in this unique class! Fee $15 Grades: 3-5

Whose Line is it?: You ARE a star, time to SHINE bright like a diamond! Join this energetic performing group
and youll learn the art of acting, singing, improvisation, costuming, making new friends and boosting your self-esteem. Your possibilities are endless! (End Scene!) Fee: $10 Grades: 3-5

Do you love sports or would you like to become a better athlete? Spring Training starts

now! In this class children are instructed in all sorts of fun sports lots of play time! Come get your game on with us! Fee: $10 Grades: K-5 Crafty Creations: If you love arts & crafts and are just plain creative, this is for you! Little artists will learn different techniques and skills led by imaginative volunteers. Come create! Fun Parent volunteers needed! Fee: $10 Grades: K-5 and you can rock out every Wednesday while building your signature moves!

Born to Dance: When you hear a good, beat do you feel like moving no matter what? Well, sign up for this fun class
Fee: $10 Grades: K-5 How is goop made

Experimental Sciences: It's Aliiiiiiiive!!!! Mysterious "hands-on" fun for serious young scientists!

and why does it feel so good? Each week surprise science concepts and exciting new labs are presented, then students practice what they learn! Fee: $15 Grades: 2-5 muscles. Lots of physical activity in this class! Prepare to be the best Super on the planet!

Superhero Training: Villains and Bullies Beware! Come create your secret identity, discover your inner strengths and outer
Fee: $15 Grades: K-5

Girls will learn to embrace the beautiful young ladies they are while learning finishing touches! Pinkies Up! Fee: $15 Grades: K-5

Princess Training: What makes a princess? If you have a dazzling personality and a great smile, you are almost there.
Cooking-4-Kids: Roll up your sleeves, lets get cooking in the kitchen! Children will create their own tasty

masterpieces using simple techniques and recipes; from colorful after-school snacks to simple entrees and delicious desserts, come cook with us! Fun class for parents to help in!
Fee: $25 Grades: K-5

Guitar and Strings: Children will learn basic string playing skills. Class will be limited in size and cost is to be determined! If you have always wanted to learn to play like a pro, youll love this musical class! Fee: TBD Grades: K-5

Awesome Fact: Last Spring we had nearly 200 children sign up for this volunteer-run program!! Our
numbers are growing!!! Thanks ALL who continue to make it possible! We are still looking for fresh ideas and fresh faces. Most parents are busy, but PLEASE, if you have special skills or a few hours that youd be willing to share weekly, we would LOVE your help! Dont underestimate the power of your contributions to our
