Should There Be A Maximum Wage Law?

The document argues that a maximum wage law should be implemented to prevent discrimination and set fair standards for wages across employment levels. It claims this would motivate workers by setting a clear wage goal and increase living standards, while also reducing cheating from employers who illegally pay lower wages. However, it acknowledges that exceptions may be needed for some professions like doctors and teachers that provide essential public services, as well as top executives who play important roles in making companies competitive.

Should there be a maximum wage law?

Yes
There should be a maximum wage law so that all gets proper wage rate without any
discrimination. Everyone have right to get his or her earning properly. So if there is a
proper wage law then standard are set for everyone and there is no discrimination is wage
law. Moreover there are some people which hiring workers illegally and pay less to the
workers if there is proper wage law then it prevent cheating and fraud. Next to this it will
motivate the people to work for their achieving maximize wage goal. It will increase the
standard of living and life, even the lower level worker will know about the middle and
upper level employees performance and wage. It will create harmony and cooperation at
work place.
One objection to this is that there are some professions like doctors and teachers which
provide their services for the welfare of the society and we cannot put any restrictions on
them. Otherwise it will discourage them to do work with less effective and efficientially.
Furthermore some top executives of the companies dedicate so much of the time to make
the company competitive so in order to respect their interests they should be paid more.
