Interfacing Appliqué Technique Guide

The document provides instructions for using fusible interfacing to apply appliqué pieces to a background fabric. The technique eliminates the need to baste pieces in place. The steps include tracing and cutting out the appliqué shape from interfacing, stitching the interfacing to the appliqué fabric, trimming excess fabric, turning the piece right side out, pressing it flat, and then fusing it in place on the background fabric before stitching the appliqué down. For curved pieces, the summary recommends clipping curves or trimming the seam allowance with pinking shears to lay flat.
