ASWSUV Seventeenth Senate 2007-08 Session

AN ACT Amending By-law {section 662.00, sub-section 662.05}

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:

Sec. 1. 662.05 reads as follows:


For a Constitutional amendment to be approved, it must receive a majority of the
votes cast in the election, provided that minimum of twenty (20) percent of
ASWSUV’s membership vote in the election.

Sec. 2. 662.05 will be changed to:


For a Constitutional amendment to be approved, it must receive fifty (50) percent
plus one (1) of the votes cast in the election, provided that a minimum of twenty
(20) percent of ASWSUV’s membership vote in the election.

STATEMENT OF FACT:
This amendment changes the wording from “majority” to “fifty (50) percent plus one (1)”
to match the format of the rest of the by-laws.
