College of DuPage Student Activities Awards
Overview
Awards will be given at the Recognition Event on Monday, April 26, 2010.
Club of the Year Award
This annual award recognizes a club which has demonstrated their outstanding commitment to the
community of College of DuPage. The Club of the Year will be selected by the Student Award
Committee comprised of C.O.D. Organization Advisors based on demonstration of quality efforts,
not just the amount of members and size of events. Applications for this award will be in the form of
Club Binder, which are due back to the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15. All nominees
will be recognized at the awards ceremony and receive a certificate, The winning Club of the Year
will be awarded six tickets to Six Flags Great America, as well as a plaque.
Submission of binder that includes the following sections:
1. Mission of the club
2. Marketing
3. Transition
4. Participation
Student Leader of the Year Award
This annual award recognizes an outstanding student (officer or member) who is involved with a club
at College of DuPage. This award is based on advisor nominations and students must meet the
minimum criteria of a 2.0 gpa and be in good standing with the college. Each advisor may only
nominate one student per club.
The Student Leader will be awarded a $100 gift certificate to the bookstore, as well as a plaque. All
nominees will be recognized at the awards ceremony and receive a certificate. Letters of Nomination
are due back to the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15, 2010, 5 p.m. They can be
emailed to wirgaua@[Link] by the nominating advisor or dropped off in person in a sealed envelope
to SRC 1800.
Advisor of the Year Award
This annual award recognizes outstanding efforts on the part of club advisors. The Advisor of the
Year will be selected by the Student Activities Award Committee based on nominations by clubs
which are due back to the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15. All nominees will be
recognized at the awards ceremony and receive a certificate. The Advisor will be awarded a $100 gift
certificate to the bookstore, as well as a plaque. (Advisors may not win two years in a row.)

*Organizations (SLC, SAPB, PLR, PTK, Courier, Forensics) are not eligible for these awards.
All other Student Activities clubs and Honor Societies are eligible.
