1. One syllable adjectives
Comparative: add er cheap cheaper
Superlative: add est cheap cheapest
2. One syllable adjectives ending in e
Comparative: add r nice nicer
Superlative: add st nice nicest
3. One syllable adjectives ending in consonant vowel

Comparative: double last consonant and add er big

Superlative: double last consonant and add est big

*Dont double if adjective ends in w x or y* new

4. Two syllable adjectives ending in y
Comparative: replace y with ier happy happier
Superlative: replace y with iest happy happiest
5. Two or more syllable adjectives
Comparative: add more or less beautiful

Superlative: add the most or the least beautiful

7. Equality and inequality
