High School Freshman through
Graduate Students, Year 5:
To enter, you must design a holiday,
get well, or birthday greeting card and
submit your work to be judged.
Your photo, art, or graphics submitted
must be your own original work and
you must be at least 14 years of age
to be eligible for this award
The Doodle 4 Google Contest is open
to students in grades K through 12
who are U.S. citizens or permanent
residents. To be considered, you must
design and submit a Google doodle
logo based around the theme What
makes meme and submit a
supporting statement of 50 words or
less
The Anthem Essay Contest is open to
students in 8th, 9th and 10th grade.
You must submit an essay of between
600 and 1,200 words based on Ayn
Rand's "Anthem" You must choose on
one of the three topics provided on
the sponsor's website. Essays will be
judged on style and content
The Defining Theme of Our Age Essay
Contest is available to students of all
ages. You must submit a 1500-2500

The ExploraVision Science
Competition is available to students in
grades K-12. You must work in a group
of two, three or four students. Each
team will select a technology that is
present in the home, school and/or
community and explore what the
technology does, how it works and
how or why it was invented. All
applicants must be citizens of the
United States or Canada to be eligible
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship is
open to students who can
demonstrate noteworthy
achievements through the creation of
a "significant piece of work" aimed at
improving the lives of others in the
areas of science, technology,
engineering, mathematics, literature,
music, philosophy, and outside the
box. A "significant piece of work" is
defined as an exceptionally creative
application of existing knowledge; a
new idea with high impact; an
innovative solution with broad - range
implications; an important
advancement that can be replicated
and built upon; an interdisciplinary
discovery; an exemplary performance;
and / or another demonstration of

The Paradigm Challenge is available
to students up to the age of 18. You
may work in a team or alone in
creating an original and creative way
to generate new ideas in preventing
injuries and fatalities from home fires
Americas #1 disaster threat.
Entries may come in the form of
posters, videos, inventions, messages,
community events, websites, mobile
apps, or anything else that will help
save lives. Additionally, you must
submit a brief statement of your idea
(140 characters or less) in order to
qualify for this award.
