The Vengeance
PuffPuff someone is panting hardly and continues running. It looks so
silly that someone who lives alone is running in his house Except for saving his own life
from being murdered that slowly walks toward him with undisturbed face. He came from
nowhere with his sword and tried to kill the victim. After the murder was chasing his victim
for five minutes, one of them pressed another down to the floor, certainly he was the murder.
The sword is on victims neck and decapitated at once. The blood stream from the corpses
neck and smudged to the murders face, but he doesnt care and go out of the house quietly.
Reina, I forgot to do my homework, help me please. Ix runs towards Reina and tries
to take her homework. Reina knows that this is not the first time that he does like this. She
stops Ix by smack to his face. Then the bell rings.
No, the class begins. Good luck. Reina says back to Ix with a smiley face. The
homeroom teacher walks into the class, and then says something that shocks everyone in the
class.
We have some bad news today. Our classmate, Heize, died last night in his house.
After the teacher said this, people in the class panic, this is not the first time. Another
classmate already died in the same month. Honma hanged herself two weeks before.
Class began and finished in silence. Nobody feels good; some people in the class go
to Reinas house, which is beside the school to get rest. Normally there are seven people who
come to Reinas house after school; Ix, Kanryo, Rein, Barge, Heize, Honma, and herself, but
now there are only four.

Kanryo doesnt come again. Ix says with the sad voice. Kanryo didnt join this group since
Honmas death. Both of them came from Japan and knew each other before they studied in
this school. Ix is also sad when Honma died, Ix and Honma in loved with each other. Ix
wanted to confess her, but its too late. Ix planned to tell his feeling in the day after Honmas
death. Ix cannot tell his loved to her now and forever.
Dont be depressed, WDC. Reina says to Ix. WDC is Ixs alias. It stands for World
Darts Champion, because he won world darts competition last year. Thanks Ix tells her
with the smiley face Please dont call that alias again. It looks weird.
That alias looks weird or you embarrassed when you hear that word? Barge says. Ix
close his face with his hand, act likes person who is embarrassing. Then everybody laughs.
It almost night, everybody went out from Reinas house and go home. Now Barge and
Rein are sitting in the park alone. Then one of them breaks the silence.
Do you want some drinks? Ill buy for you darling. Rein said. Now Rein has almost
nobody, her parents died when she was eleven years old. Now Barge is everything in her life.
After Homma dead, Rein started to call his boyfriend as Darling. Maybe she knows that life
is short, so they should do everything they want before their life end. Barge nods and Rein
starts to run. He sighed hardly, and then someone walks behind him.
Second. Someone whispered to his ear, zero in on his head, and shot him.
Rein doesnt come to school again. After Barge died, Rein didnt come to school for
three days. Everyone thinks that she will not come to school anymore, but it doesnt. She
comes to school today, but she didnt smile anymore. She walks and stands in front of the
class, and starts to say something.

I cannot live in this situation anymore. Everybody doesnt love me. Everybody
leaves me alone. She takes a pistol out of her bag, and loads the gun, after that, she points
the gun up to the sky, and then to her head. Then she pulls the trigger.
Everybody panics; they run and scream. Ix just sits and starts thinking about what are
the pattern and purpose of the murder. Ix shouts and runs out of the class. He figured out who
will be killed next.
Kanryo, come here! Ix runs toward Kanryo, Ix holds his hand, but Kanryo doesnt
listen to him. You will be the next victim., but Kanryo doesnt listen to him. He shakes Ixs
hand out and shouts back to him. I dont believe you. Honma died because of you. Every
person died because of you. This is your fault. I dont believe you anymore! Then he starts
to run.
Kanryo! Watch out! Ix shouts again, but Kanryo doesnt listen to himthen he fall
down of the building.
After a few second, there are sounds like a heavy object fell down to the ground floor
and the bones crack. Blood and some parts of the brain flows out from the body, and flows all
over the floor.
Forth someone said to himself and walk away.
Its almost at night. Now there are only two people in the school. Reina forgot her bag
and forced Ix to come with her even the school closed after two people had died. The school
is dark and quiet. Both of them are walking in the corridor, walking up the stair. Now they are
in the room, Reina takes her bag, and walks out of the room. Everything happens in silence.
How did you know that Kanryo will be the next victim? She turns back to Ix that
walks behind her and asked him to breaking the silence while she is walking down stairs.

Chess Ix answers, that answer makes Reina more confused. Then He explains more.
The murder uses our name to relate to chess game and tries to kill us. The word
Heize means sixteen in French, which is the number of the knight in one chess game.
Second is Barge, barge means the fright boat or a canal boat, so he is rook in chess. Third is
Rein, rein means the bridle or strap that use with the horse, so she is horse in chess. Next is
Kanryo. In Japanese, Kanryo means the bureaucrat, so he is bishop. Ix explains to her.
Then who will be the next? Reina asks.
Next will be you, Reina. The word Reina in Catalan means the queen. Ix
answered. Then takes something out of his bag and throws toward her. Reina turns back and
move her head to avoid from something that was thrown to her face.
That is a dart.
Reina looks at him. He is not her childhood friend or Ix anymore.
But he is the murder who will kill her.
Reina gets panic and run for her life.

Why you are running? You make one person dies. Tell me the reason why you are
running! Ix gets more and more angry. He takes his gun from the bag and follows her. All
of you think that I didnt, but I know everything! Honma dead because all of you. Every

people make her feelings hurt. I know that Heize and Rein hate her. I know that Kanryo also
loves her same as me. Also I know that you hate her many than the others. I know that Heize,
Rein, and you pretend her, insult her, envy her, and hurts her. All of you make the person who
will be my girlfriend died! This is the only way that you can redeem the mistake. Why youre
trying to escape from me! Ix runs and reaches her, he touch both of her shoulder, then press
down on the floor and point the gun to her head.
Please, stop this thing. You are not yourself anymore. To kill is not the best way.
Shut up.
This is not to admit the mistake. This is running from the mistake.
Shut up.
Where is Ix? Where is my childhood? Where is the person who I loved the most? Let
him back. Reina starts to cry.
I said shut up! Its too late! Ix shouts, sounds like he doesnt want to listen anymore.
Then he pulls the trigger.
Ix stands up and sits beside her. He sighed and looks at her, then talks to her.
If you tell your feeling early, this situation will not happen. He points his gun to his
head, and then he pulls the trigger.
