Allusion

Allusion –

Example : Christy didn't like to spend money. She was no Scrooge, but she
seldom purchased anything except the bare necessities.

1. The software included a Trojan Horse virus.

2. She might date you, but you’ll probably have to wish upon a star.

3. I think that’s a Mickey Mouse idea.

4. After the fire, his face reminded me of Freddie Kruger’s.

5. It was not raining when Noah built the Ark.

6. "Wow, man. That was awesome. I mean, that was like a... Jedi moment".

7. He just kept saying, “I think I can, I think I can,” as he was taking his test.

8. That dude looks like a mix between Hercules and King Kong.

9. Hey, Sleeping Beauty! Wake up or you’re outta here.

10. Sometimes he felt like a real Romeo, and on others, well, not so much.

11. This isn’t Kansas, and you certainly don’t look like Dorothy.

12. When I walk into the woods all alone on a Saturday morning, it makes me think,

“This must have been what Adam felt like in the Garden of Eden.”
