Volkswagen's Evolution and Scirocco Revival

Volkswagen is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world. It originated in the 1930s in Germany as "the people's car," designed to be an affordable vehicle for the masses. The first prototype, called the kdf-wagen, was developed in the 1930s and resembled the iconic Beetle model. After shifting production to military vehicles during World War 2, Volkswagen revived its focus on civilian vehicles like the Beetle and saw major success, producing over 1000 cars per day by the 1950s under new leadership. The acquisition of Audi in 1964 helped Volkswagen expand its capabilities in engines and front-wheel drive systems.
