TEN WORDS TO LOVE AND LIVE BY


I. I AM hwhy your Elohim who brought you out of the land of
Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery. You have no other mighty ones
against My face.

II. You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of
that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or
which is in the waters under the earth. Yo do not bow down to them nor
serve them.
For I, hwhy your Elohim am a jealous El, visiting the
lawlessness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth
generations of those who hate Me, but showing kindness to thousands to
those who love Me and regard My commands.

III. You do not bring the Name of hwhy your Elohim to ruin, for
hwhy does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to
naught.

IV. Remember the Sabbath day, to dedicate it. Six days you labor
and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of hwhy
your Elohim.
You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter,
nor your man servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your
stranger who is within your gates.
For in six days hwhy made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and
all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore hwhy blessed
the Sabbath day and set it apart.

V. Respect your father and your mother so that your days are
prolonged upon the soil which hwhy your Elohim is giving you.

VI. You do not murder.


VII. You do not commit adultery.
VIII. You do not steal.
IX. You do not bear false witness against your neighbor.
X. You do not covet your neighbor’s house, wife, male servant,
female servant, ox, donkey or whatever belongs to your neighbor.
