Vikash Kumar 07536: Assignment Design of Photovoltaic System Stationary To Synchronous Frame Transformation

This document summarizes experiments transforming a rotating space vector from the stationary to synchronous reference frame in MATLAB. It presents three cases: 1) with the synchronous frame lagging the given vector by 30 degrees, 2) with the frames in phase, and 3) using a closed-loop system with the frames in phase. The key steps involve using trigonometric functions like sine and cosine to represent the vector in the new reference frame and analyzing the output signals Vd and Vq with different controller gains.

ASSIGNMENT

DESIGN OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

Stationary to Synchronous Frame Transformation

VIKASH KUMAR ; 07536

A: Transformation using Math Functions of MATLAB :

10sin(314.2t) is a rotating space vector .

CASE 1. : Synchronous frame lagging Given space vector by 30degree.

OUTPUT :

Vd

Vq
CASE 2: Synchronous frame in phase with given space vector :

Vd

Vq

B : Generation of unit COS from a Sin

OUTPUT :

Vd

Vq
C. Using Above Process to generate COSINE :
SIMULATION of Synchronous frame in phase with given space vector :

Vd

Vq
C. Synchronous frame in phase with given space vector Using Closed loop System

Using COS function of MATLAB :

RESULT :

Vd

Vq

With increase in integrator gain fo PI controller q-componet become more close to zero.
USING COSINE SUBSYSTEM

Vd

Vq

In this case output is having some oscillation. Here Q-componet is coming to 0.04.
