Type:
Retail - Single product supplied in a retail box with a data
cable, software utility and manual disk, screw set
and warranty card.
Bulk - Ten pack of the product supplied with software utility
and manual disk and warranty card.

Lightscribe:

GSA-H55N laser etched onto the top of the disk if using Lightscribe media.

Internal:
A drive that is fitted into a Desktop PC or Notebook Computer,
Desktop drives are sometimes described as "Half-Height" and
Notebook drives as "Slim-Line".

PATA:
Older style interface for connecting drives internally to PC's.
This connector uses a large flat cable with 40 pins and is able
to cope with data speeds of 66,100 and 133 MB per second.

SATA:
Style interface for connecting drives internally to PC's. This
connector uses a thin cable with 7 pins and is able to cope
GGW-H20L with data speeds of 150 and 300 MB per second. SATA also
supports external devices that use the eSATA connection.

Colour:

Denotes the colour of the drive front bezel.

Speed:
01.03.08 Measurement of how fast the drive can read/write data to the

type of disk. 1 X DVD-R writes at 1.385 MB per second and 20
X writes at 27.7 MB per second. Usually formatted as 20X /
52X which indicates DVD±R / CD-R speed. 1 X DVD-R speed
is the equivelant to 9 X CD-R speed.

DVD-ROM:
A drive that will read DVD disks (data and movies) and CD
disks. This drive cannot write any data.

DVD-RW:
A drive that will read and write data to DVD±R (including dual
layer), DVD±RW, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW, and read data from
CD and DVD-ROM disks.
