RE: Vacation request - June 12-23

I am writing to request vacation from June 12 – 23. I understand this is the busiest time of the year for our
company, but I do believe my request for vacation should be honored given my contribution to the
company. I consistently demonstrate my commitment to the company by putting in overtime and
completing other’s work while they’re away. Similarly, while I am absent, a fellow employee will watch
my desk and complete my essential work.

I hope an exception for my vacation request can be made despite the busy season. Thank you.

RE: Travel Policies

It has come to my attention that company policies regarding travel and vouchers are not being followed.
These policies are in place to ensure our business runs effectively and that you get credit for the work you
do. Here are some things to remember when traveling on company time:

 Explain your purpose

 Keep your receipts
 Document your visits
 Keep track of your meals
 Keep a log of all clients you visit

If you have any questions, refer to the travel procedures section in the employee handbook (p. 23-25). If
you can’t find an answer there, contact your office or section manager, or give me a call. Thanks, and safe
travels.
