Understanding Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is defined as organizations considering the interests of society through their business operations and activities. CSR helps companies by providing employee benefits like improved morale and talent retention. It also enhances corporate reputation and brand image. Rather than a charitable act, CSR is a give-and-take process that can increase revenue, product quality, employee loyalty and satisfaction. Many successful companies practice CSR by managing their role in society responsibly and sustainably.
