Spelling/Vocabulary Tic-Tac-Toe

This board includes many different activities to help your child practice his/her spelling/vocabulary words. Your child must complete at least three of the activities for weekly homework. The activities must make a tic-tac-toe line: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal three in a row. Please mark your choices with crayon, marker, etc. Parents, you are encouraged to assist your chid as needed to make homework a positive learning experience. This sheet should be turned in on Friday. Have Fun! Note: if flashcards or letter tiles are created, please have parents initial in that box that they were created. These items do not need to be turned in. All other papers are due on Friday.

Vocabulary Write a poem that includes each of your vocabulary words. Draw a picture about your poem

Input your words into www.spreeder.com and see how fast you can review them ex. redo r e d o review r e v i e w

Write your spelling words in secret code: A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. Challenge a sibling or parent to decode your words. Ex. glad=7-12-1-4

Draw and color a picture. "Hide" all the words in the picture. Please do not color over the words

Write a story using 15-20 spelling words.

Vocabulary Make a character for each of your vocabulary words. Draw them and describe them using the definitions

Action Flash-cards Vocabulary Make and complete a word -Make a set of spelling flash- Draw a picture for each of your search using cards and do something active. vocabulary words and then www.puzzlemaker.com ex. hula-hoop, dance, push- write a sentence using the word ups, jump rope, etc correctly
