- Director of the Camp Red Bird kindergarten readiness camp and handled all the Title I paperwork - Served on the Bethesda Data Committee for three consecutive years - Administer and score standardized tests for gifted testing - Increased the number of identified gifted students from 24 to 117 in 3 years - Assisted with the FLARE program two years (current year included) - Served as gifted contact teacher for three consecutive years - Implemented an enrichment program that includes technology integration for grades k - 5 - Implemented Quality Plus Teaching Strategies along with Learning Focused Schools strategies - Led school-wide staff training sessions on reading test scores and identifying gifted characteristics - Led county-wide staff training in math for first grade teachers - Differentiated instruction through the use of small groups in Reading, Writing, and Math - Assistant director for the after school program - Facilitator for before school Successmaker sessions with students in grades 1-5 - Worked as a tutor for the before and after school Reading and Math tutorials for three consecutive years - Involved in an ESOL book study to gain knowledge of our ESOL population and the most effective ways to teach them - Analyzed data from programs such as Successmaker to improve instruction of all students - Implemented weekly student goal setting - Acted as a mentor teacher for a new first grade teacher - Mentor teacher for Georgia State University student teachers and interns
